200 years of experience in… 8 months? That is only possible within the Legia Sport Business Programme.
Over the course of eight months of the Programme’s 5th edition – through workshops, meetings, case studies, internships, discussions and networking sessions – our speakers and experts shared with participants the most valuable lessons drawn collectively from more than 200 years of experience gained across the sports industry.
It is a number that sounds impressive, but behind it lies something far more important than statistics. Behind it are real stories, projects, successes, mistakes, decisions and experiences of people who shape modern sport every single day – from clubs, federations and international organisations to marketing, sponsorship, media, events and high performance environments.
From the very beginning, we believed that preparing people for a career in sport cannot be based solely on theory. Sport is a fast-moving industry that requires the ability to react quickly while understanding people, processes, emotions and business at the same time. These are things that simply cannot be learned from textbooks alone.
That is why we created the Legia Sport Business Programme under the patronage of European Club Association together with practitioners – people who make real decisions every day and directly influence the way sports organisations operate and how the entire industry evolves.
The official closing ceremony of the 5th edition at Legia Training Center was not only a symbolic summary of several intense months of learning. It was also a moment to reflect on how rapidly modern sport is changing and how important it has become to build organisational and competency-based advantages. This was especially visible during the sessions dedicated to performance and high performance environments.
Adrianna Kotwicka and Bartosz Bibrowicz spoke about how to build a competitive advantage for the future of sport already today.
Their presentations showed that modern sport relies less and less purely on intuition and increasingly on the intelligent combination of expertise, data, recovery, mental preparation, technology and well-designed working environments. We discussed how the role of leadership in sport is evolving, why the organisations winning the future are those that learn faster than their competitors, and why consciously building a high performance culture has become essential – not only within first teams, but across entire sports organisations.
These are exactly the kinds of meetings that best demonstrate what the Legia Sport Business Programme truly is in practice.
We want to create a programme for people who genuinely want to work in sport and understand the mechanisms shaping the modern sports industry. That is why, alongside classes and workshops, informal discussions, networking opportunities, exchange of experiences and behind-the-scenes access to the industry are equally important parts of the journey.
The culmination of the event was the official graduation ceremony during which Raoul Tondini and Marcin Sobczyk presented graduates with their diplomas. It was also a special moment for the entire Legia Sport Business Programme community as we surpassed the milestone of more than 100 graduates of the programme.
Looking today at the careers of those who completed previous editions, we can clearly see that the Legia Sport Business Programme has become something much bigger than an educational project.
It has become a community of people who are increasingly shaping and influencing the sports industry in Poland and beyond. And that is exactly why we are already looking toward the next edition with great motivation and excitement.
Registration for the new edition opened a month ago, and more than half of the places have already been filled. The remaining spots are still waiting – perhaps for you.
